Taking the Plunge

Anna started swimming lessons this week. I really wanted her to take them before we go to Maine, so we are doing a short session that is every day for two weeks. On the first day, she stood at the corner of the pool whining for me the whole time. It never became a cry, so we toughed it out.

On the second day (today), she did great. Ben and I sat farther away so she couldn't see us. She didn't like the boys in class splashing her very much, but by the end of class she had dunked all the way under, practiced swimming on her back and belly, and kicked her legs too. Anna is not a water baby, but hopefully she'll end up liking it in the end. Lucky for her, she looks pretty happy in the only pictures that came out.
