Big Sister

I'm all partied out - but to be fair, figured I could squeeze out another blog before bed.

Happy Birthday ANNA! She is the perfect oldest child for our family. And she did surprisingly well yesterday, telling Adam and Isabel she was "so happy it was their birthday." Today was her day, and it was filled with treats and princess everything. We ate cake for the third day in a row, so I think we're good on cake for like six months.

My four favorite things about Anna as she turns four:

  1. She "mothers" Adam and Isabel. Of course, that is the role of a big sister! But it still cracks me up when she says things like, "Just pick up your toys sweetie, and then you can play outside."
  2. Every night she asks what we are doing the next day. What are we having for breakfast? What will we do after naptime? What are we doing the day after that?
  3. Her odd obsession with bags, purses, and papers. It drives me crazy sometimes, but it is also endearing. Old junk mail, post it notes - any kind of paper/trash is her treasure.
  4. She is so easy to please. I could have thrown one princess candle on a blank cake and she would have been happy with her "princess cake." Everything is exciting, and she is usually very thankful.
